SOLVED: Angry Birds PC Error The ADP Runtime Was Unable to Initialize

When starting Angry Birds on your PC you may see

Error:

The ADP Runtime Was Unable to Initialize

To work around the problem:

1. start Intel AppUp
2. click MY APPS from the menu on the left
3. find Angry Birds, and start it
4. Close Angry Birds (if you want)

From this point on, you should be able to start Angry Birds directly from its shortcut in Windows, rather than starting AppUp first.
